Move to Counteract Depression
- By Jodie Hemerda
If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of
fighting a foreign enemy.
James Madison, as a United States Congressman
“Support our
troops, Bring them home!”
- InterAct
disagrees with current US foreign policy in Iraq, Afghanistan,
Venezuela…, but we thank those soldiers who give their time, energy and
lives to our country. Though I hold them accountable to International
Humanitarian Law, for the most part they are mere pawns in a sick game
of chess. The time has come to stop destroying human life and bring them
home. I grieve for all the
lives lost in this
tragic conflict.

- InterAct
also disagrees with Sgt. Asan Akbar’s violent “fragging” (a term from
the Vietnam War, meaning the deliberate killing of officers or sergeants
by troops under their command, usually by rolling a fragmentation
grenade into their quarters) in Kuwait. Though he may view his attempts
noble, we see all violence against mankind as unnecessary and inhumane.
